Welcome to 3rd grade!
I am so excited to share my love for reading with your child, 2023-2024 is going to be amazing! This year is going to be full of new experiences, laughter and new learning. Teaching in an absolute passion of mine. I am excited to work with you and your child this year and grow their love for reading. It's going to be a year full of fun, new learning, and lots of adventures. This year they will be making a big switch in reading. They are coming from learning HOW to read to reading to LEARN. I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us.
I graduated from UMHB in 2009 and began teaching in KilleenISD for 5 years , then BeltonISD for 5 years before finding my place in the Bearcat family in 2018. I am here to help your child love reading, if there is anything I can do please let me know.
One way to help your child grow in reading is to have them read out loud every night. This allows them to practice their fluency daily and helps instill a love for reading. Thank you for all your support and all you will do this year to help your child grow.
