About Mrs. Hunter

Hello! My Name is Mrs. Hunter and this is my 6th year teaching at Moody Elementary and my 11th year teaching elementary aged students. Before coming to Moody, I taught in Waco ISD. I began my time here teaching Kindergarten, and am now serving as the Dyslexia Specialist on the Elementary campus. I will also be your child's art teacher during their special rotations on Wednesdays.

This past school year I completed my Master's degree in Special Education. I am very excited to continue my education and see where this road leads me. I have always been drawn to students who have special needs and am a strong advocate for early intervention.

My husband, Andy, and I have been married for 26 years and we have six children! We live in China Spring, where all of our children have attended or are still attending school. We love taking long road trips and driving every back road in Texas. We used to love tent camping but have since graduated to an RV. We LOVE the outdoors and the peace and quiet that comes with it, but enjoy it much better while "glamping". The mountains are my favorite place to be! I have loved every minute of teaching at Moody, and am so grateful that you have given me the opportunity to be a part of your child’s learning experience. It’s going to be a GREAT year!
