Counselor
My name is Mrs. McKamie and I am so excited to be a Moody Elementary Bearcat! I have been in education for twenty years. I was a teacher for Moody Elementary and Moody Middle for eight years. I received my counseling certification ten years ago. I have three daughters and three grandsons that live in the Dallas area. My oldest daughter graduated from Moody High School in 2010. My husband, David McKamie and his dad also graduated from Moody. We live in the Moody Independent school district, so I really do feel like I have come home!
I am so thankful and excited to be entering another year here at Moody Elementary! I am going to be introducing a new counseling curriculum this year called Positive Action. I will be meeting with each class once a week with some valuable character lessons. I will also be doing small group as needed throughout the year.
