Welcome to 3rd grade!

I am so excited to share my love for math with your child, 2026-2027 is going to be amazing! This year is going to be full of new experiences, laughter and new learning. Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am excited to work with you and your child this year and grow their love for math. It's going to be a year full of fun, new learning, and lots of adventures. This year they will be making a big switch in math and becoming more independent problem solvers.  I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us. Just a few things;

We use Parent Square or email to communicate events, updates on assignments and student behavior.      

Parent Square allows me to send quick messages straight to your cell phone like a text message. You do not need a smart phone to receive messages.

             Homework- A math practice sheet will go home every other Monday. Homework is always a review of previous skills and never new concepts. It is passed out on that

 Monday and is due that Friday of the same week. 

          Technology-Our classroom will use lots of technology! Students will use all of the technology available to us throughout the year to expand their knowledge of technology and how it can be used constructively in our daily lives.

           Flex Seating- Our class uses Flexible Seating. Instead of traditional desks, you will see a wide variety of seating options, including standing tables, floor height tables, stools, stability balls, and more.  I am very excited about using flexible seating in our classroom this year. I know it might seem a little different from what you’re used to in a traditional classroom, but I believe it will help each student in our class be the best learner they can be.
