About Mrs. Rush
My name is Tabitha Rush, and it feels so good to be home! I taught at MMS for four years and at MHS for 1 year before making my way here! I have been a Bearcat since Pre-K, and I am so blessed to be able to serve my community who had a huge hand in raising me.
I am married to my husband, Brennen. Together we have twin daughters, Evelynn and Emelia, that we welcomed into the world in March. We also have three dogs which help to keep us on our toes. My heart is full, and I am excited to be here!
What will we be doing this year?
This year, our Bearcats will come to me every three weeks for Social-Emotional Lessons focusing on Positive Self-Concept, Responsibility, Kindness, Respect, Honesty, and Self-Improvement.
Every Friday, a student will be bragged on by their teacher(s) and awarded as the Bearcat of the Week. At the end of the 6 weeks, a name from our Bearcat of the Week winners will be drawn from each grade level to participate in beautifying the school by painting a ceiling tile. This is a great opportunity to celebrate our Bearcats showing positive actions within the school community.
Group and Individual Counseling
I will be offering group counseling and individual counseling to students that need it. In order for me to see your child, please fill out and send back the permission slip forms. I have sent them out to our teachers to be sent home in students' take home folders, but if you need a new one, feel free to download it or reach out to me for an extra copy.
TCHATT
Moody ISD is partnering with the Texas Child Health Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) project to provide students with access to behavioral health telemedicine services. These services are free and students will be able to visit with a licensed counselor or psychologist without leaving campus. Please contact our district Social Worker or your child's School Counselor for more information.
