Meet Mrs. Martin
Welcome to my website! I am so glad you stopped by! A little bit about me: My family moved to Hewitt when I was in 6thgrade. I graduated from Midway High School in 1985. I am married to my first husband, Chip; we met at work then married in March of 1990. We have 2 kids, Kendra 1990 and Jacob 1994. Jacob married Mary in May of 2021.
After graduating from Baylor with a B.S. in Education, I was a homemaker for 10 years. I then taught 4th grade for 2 years at South Waco Elementary. I substitute taught for 2 years at Midway ISD. I was then fortunate to find a 1st grade position here in Moody in 2004. After 4 years of 1st grade, I taught 4th grade for 5 years. I’ve taught math intervention and now have settled in the library.
It is an honor to teach each child that is in my classroom. I enjoy getting to know each one of them, and discovering what makes them special. It is my goal to make learning fun and interesting. I enjoy teaching children, seeing students succeed, and watching them develop a love of learning. I look forward to another year of learning at Moody Elementary!
